I never did get either car fixed. I guess when I have an extra grand I will fix both of them.  Undecided

30birdy, have you replaced your ac compresser before? Can I PM you a few questions? I want to get this fixed soon before it gets really hot.

I have replaced several 4th Gen F body compressors. Definitely give me a PM.

Finally fixed!

At least I sure hope so. I had a long hot drive to a show, and it worked perfectly. In addition to the compresser leak, it had a leak at the low side service port valve. This was not apparent until the hoses were taken off. The system was recharged, and ran nice an cool on the low setting even.

Anyone with ac problems, check that valve, its a two dollar part.
